Why Dr. Patterson Became A Doctor

She wanted to become a doctor for a simple reason. When she was growing up, she had many family members that were dealing with serious illnesses. She noticed that the doctors that were truly compassionate and caring made her family feel so much better. Therefore, she really wanted to be a doctor just like them. She chose dermatology because she really loves doing it. When she was training, she was exposed to a lot of dermatology clinics. Every time she was in those clinics she was excited and it was fun. She enjoyed taking care of her patients and seeing the impact that the clinic had on those patients' lives. She believes that dermatologists can make a difference and make each patient’s quality of life better.
