Dr. Monica Rani is a board certified dermatologist practicing since 2007.
Dr. Monica Rani’s goal is for every patient to have a good understanding of their diagnosis, feel confident about the treatment plan and their ability to manage the condition. No matter a patient’s skin type, Dr. Rani will work with them to achieve the best outcome.
Dr. Rani completed residency training in both internal medicine and dermatology at the University of Minnesota where she was chief resident. She then joined Northwestern University as a full-time faculty member, teaching residents and medical students, and consulting at the hospital. In private practice, she continues to believe in educating her patients.

As a full-time clinical instructor at Northwestern University, she developed a global health program in dermatology and created a combined dermatologic-infectious disease clinic to provide integrated patient care.

Dr. Stavonnie Patterson, MD
Dermatologist
Dr. Stavonnie Patterson is a board certified dermatologist practicing since 2007.
Dr. Patterson's passions include medical dermatology, hair disorders, skin of color, health disparities, and effective patient-doctor communication. She is actively involved in the Skin of Color Society where she serves as Patient Education Committee Co-chair. Much of her clinical work while faculty at Northwestern University was in the Center for Ethnic Skin and Hair.
Dr. Patterson completed a residency program in Internal Medicine at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston before training in Dermatology at Duke University Hospital where she served as chief resident.
She then joined Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine as an assistant professor of dermatology. She served as assistant program director of the combined Internal Medicine and Dermatology residency program and did much of her clinical work in the Northwestern Center for Ethnic Skin and Jesse Brown Veterans Affairs Medical Center.
